Amazingly, there didn't seem to me any damage to the trusses from all the water leaking over the years. There *were* signs of previous leaks and some holes in the ceiling drywall below "patched" with what appeared to be packing tape, but those holes were "under" the light fixture in the kitchen ceiling.
