I decided to rough out the cutout with a scroll saw. I thought trying to cut through 1-1/2" of MDF and tempered Masonite might be a bit much for the laminate trimmer I was using. Not to mention the heat buildup on the bit itself. I'll clean it up with the trimmer then lay out and install the corner mounts/adjusters.
