The new header is a 9-1/4" x 5-1/2" LVL beam. Ridiculously overkill for this, but it was readily available. A quick trim to length and a 'dog-ear' on one corner to clear some electrical and my son and I were able to muscle it into place. Snug fit so it took some work with a small sledge hammer to get it in, but everything is nice and tight. Time to screw it all off and add my trimmers.
