So....that plan didn't work at all. The holes in the floor joists aren't even close to being in line so pulling the new cable straight through isn't going to work. My son and I ended up opening up the entire left side of the hallway ceiling so we could route the new cable through all the wonky holes. Whoever drilled those holes needs to be slapped in the back of their head!
