I got the gas lines disconnected upstairs and got the main feeder shoved down under the floor and then fished it out my through the hole I cut in the ceiling down below. I connected a new T and a shutoff valve so I can service both fireplaces without having to shut off gas to the whole house. I'll put in a small access panel when I patch the ceiling.
