This gas line was buried in the hearth structure so it will have to be moved to the right about 20" so it sits inside the new structure. Contractor won't touch this or electrical so it's time to put on my plumber's hat. Thankfully, there's an in-law suite downstairs so I'll be able to pop open the ceiling and take care of this pretty easily.
