I made the table out of 2 pieces of MDF laminated together and a piece of tempered Masonite for the top. The lamination had a bit of a bow in it from the MDF bouncing around in my shop for the past few years so I forced it flat with some scrap wood and clamps and will let it dry for a couple days. When I unclamped it, I checked it with a straightedge in multiple directions to make sure it was flat. It was. :)
