It took a bit of thinking to determine where the pivot point would have to be so I got it laid out and drilled. I had some stainless tube lying around and made a couple bushings for the bolts to go through. These will not only allow for smooth pivoting when it's folded up, but will prevent the hardware from being tightened so much the knee braces won't move.
