This is the old shower drain. The old pan was above this on its platform so it wasn't an issue to tie in to it. Somehow, I need to get about 14" below this to tie the shower drain in. Alternately, I run the drin over to the old tub drain to the right of this, but I'm not sure I can get the required fall to make that happen.
