The new marble top will hang over this edge almost 16 inches so support braces will need to be installed. I laid out the spacing and notched my furring strips in the proper locations. I also added blocks for the "legs" on the supports to be bolted to. I'll screw these in place once the "depth" of the brackets has been establish as the "legs" will be hidden under the finished panel when it's installed.

Marble is due to be installed in the morning so I'll need to be here to get the supports all sorted out.
