Tile guys were due in a couple days and I needed to get back to the tub surround. Since the flange of the tub sat quite a bit above the top plate (this was my design which you'll see in a moment) I needed to support the flange and 'glue' it to the framing. Some MDF strips nailed to the framing and fat bead of adhesive caulk took care of that.
