With the tub and shower rough-in taken care of, I decided I'd trim out the sinks so we could sort of use the bathroom again. "Standard" valve holes in countertops are 1-1/4" in the US. The fixtures we bought were from England and only 25.4mm (1") in diameter and would not be able to be secured to the countertop.
