While the thin-set on the wall was drying, I started playing with tile layouts. I found a layout on the 'net with this same tile done in a "brick" pattern that was kind of cool, but there were no outlets in that installation. After a little head scratching and some tape measure work, I determined a 2" offset would not only look pretty cool, but would make getting the cover plates flat on the wall pretty easy as well.
