I started thinking about my braces and thoght I may need to shim the tips "up" a bit to preload them when the granite was installed. I wasn't sure how much I'd need to go up, so I cut up an old piece of steel stud and made shims. Likely way more than I need, but I'd hate to come up short when the granite installers arrived.
