I ran a FAT bead of silicone around the flange and sucked the sink up with the "turnbuckle". I had my son watching from above and making adjustments to keep the sink centered in the opening as I tightened everything up. Excess caulk was cleaned up with mineral spirits and the tape removed. Came out pretty clean, but the "gray" silicone I used turned out much lighter than I wanted. I may cut it back and caulk it with black silicone later.

I still need to scrape the plumber's putty from around the drain strainer, but I'll wait a day or so because it's still oozing out.
