The final "fix" to the color was to spray everything with fog coat (a cementous "paint") from La Habra Stucco called "Allegro". I rented an airless sprayer, mixed the stuff up and got to spraying. Initially, the spray rig wasn't working very well and would shoot the "paint" in 3 heavy streams so I had to grab a heavy nap roller and back-roll everything.
