When I ordered the doors for the island, I got the rough opening dimensions so I could continue to make progress while I waited for the doors to arrive. Rough opening dimensions were spec'd at 40-1/2" wide x 19" H.... I made the opening 1/8" larger to allow for 1/16" "wiggle room" all the way around... I'm pretty much dead on at 40-5/8" here...
