Halfway through day 2 of the stone. I wasn't sure how I was going to address the stainless panel at the right side of the picture, but then decided I'd hold the stone short 1/2" and use 3/4" wide "waste" pieces of stone placed vertically to break up the machined edges of the panel and then fill the small gap between the stone and the panel with thinset and sponge it off like grouting tile.
