The fixture came down pretty easily with the weight off the chains and the new fan mount should screw up pretty quickly. Immediately, I did notice a problem with the wire location though. The canopy for the fan mount wasn't going to completely cover the wires and I don't want to move the mount location so the canopy would cover the old fixture's screw holes.
