A few hours after getting off the phone with the stone yard, our sales rep sent me this photo of another quartzite slab. She thought it might work well with our design. She said they had several slabs in stock and to take a look on their website to see if any of them would work for us. Unfortunately, this yard is about 140 miles away so seeing them in person was problematic. Thankfully, my wife was in that area for a couple appointments and was able to swing by and take a look.

I had chosen two slabs on the website, but didn't tell my wife which two. After looking at them all, she ended up choosing the same two I thought would work best, so we had our rep set them aside and I let the fabricators know we had selected new stone and they could be leathered in a couple days and ready for pickup by the end of the week. 2 days later I received word they'd been paid for and would be leathered the next day.

Friday of that week, I was informed the slabs were done and were at the fabrication shop.
