The island countertop will have 14 inches of knee space on this side and short side to the right. Since I hate corbels and the stone needs to be supported, I bought 50 feet of C-Channel and will weld up a support structure. I've done similar support pieces for other projects and they work well. (Didja notice the new flooring?)
