While mud was drying, I started adding nailing surfaces for the drywall that would be going up between the beams. I needed to get these two bays done and the first 4 feet in the other bays before the uppers were installed. The planking above these is the floor of the loft and is actually quite level so I cut some spacer blocks and used them to set my nailers. I clamped a level to the nailers before screwing them off to try to keep the nailers at flat as possible.
