Relocating the light switches to the right of the door requires extending the existing wiring, but pulling new wire would require opening up the subfloor or opening up the ceiling of the in-law suite down below. Instead, I'll figure out what is what and add a J-box to connect the existing wiring to the new wiring and add a new feed to the overhead lights. The old feed to the track lights will be removed when those lights come down.
