I thought I'd taken a picture of how I got the ridge cap screwed down from the inside, but I guess the shutter didn't actually release when I clicked it. I ended up putting folded up drop cloths on the edge of the hot-tub and put a scaffolding plank across the tub, then just walked my way across as I secured the cap in place.
