I drove a screw through the wall to the outside of the house so I have a reference point for the service panel. This dimension is to verify the screw's location with the bottom of a piece of siding outside. I'm kind of thinking of flush mounting the new panel and I want to disrupt the siding as little as possible and don't want to run in to any fire blocking when I cut the hole.
