Also, notice the white material on the left? That's Tyvek house wrap. It doesn't do well in the heat. Leftovers from the contractor crew that didn't think ahead and buried the wrap under the framing for the expanded popout. That will have to be cut back flush with the framing before this space is closed up. The other side is like this as well.
