"Square" must be a concept foreign to these "craftsmen". (Now I'm livid!) I sent all these pictures to the contractor (Who *STILL* hasn't shown up) along with a brutally direct email asking how this simple construction could be so out of whack. He called me a bit later and when I answered, all I said was, "Tell me I'm wrong." He told me I wasn't and that they "shim this stuff out". I told him a couple shims here and there was ok, but a stack of 8 or 10 almost everywhere was (pardon my French here) bullshit!" He said they'd correct it and then complained about "...the company isn't making any money" and then the 'discussion' over the popout siding began. He wanted me to pay for half of the siding, suggested he couldn't find the same stuff and wanted to do tongue and groove siding that wouldn't match the rest of the house. Who effing does that!? He then asked if I could pay the remaining balance and told me, "I'd be good for it". YGBFKM!!
