This is the door going to the backyard from just beyond the kitchen. This door has been kicked open more than once. Instead of replacing the entire jamb (Which would require popping loose the stucco-mold on the exterior) I'm just going to cut the damage out and scarf in a new piece. The striker plates will be re-installed with 3" screws so my repair won't compromise the security of this door.
