It's been several weeks since I was able to work on this thing, but I found a few hours with everyone out of the house so decided today was the day I'd start the paint process on the knee and pedestal. I took a Scotchbrite pad and an angle grinder to the pedestal to knock off most of the old paint. I need to use some paint remover to get into the areas around the bolt holes before I can degrease and prime.
