None of my repair manuals show the ball screw like I have so I took a much closer peek at how this all goes together. Turns out you pull the lock screw out of the 'upper right' of the T bracket, then rotate it so the flat is parallel with the bottom of the saddle and the screw slides out with a little help from a dead blow hammer. I think I'll give the ways a scrub before I pull the oil lines out so I can see how they look.
